Hot and Warm Mix Asphalt Laboratory
A full hot-mix asphalt facility with capability to perform Marshall and SUPERPAVE™ mix designs is available at the research centre. Specialty mixes and cold-mix design including aggregate and RAP testing are also available to service the industry/consulting needs. Warm Mix research and development has recently become a major focus.
SHRP PGAC(Performance Graded Asphalt Cement) Laboratory
McAsphalt Research Centre has a fully equipped Performance Graded Asphalt Cement (PGAC) testing laboratory that can perform conventional and SHRP testing of asphalt cements. The SHRP laboratory is actively involved in outside testing, product quality control (Q.C.) testing and research throughout the year.
Specialty Products Laboratory
McAsphalt Industries Limited takes pride in its ability to develop new products catering to the changing industry needs. In order to facilitate such research and product development, the specialty products laboratory component of the McAsphalt Research Centre is actively pursuing various research projects at all times throughout the year.
Emulsion/Cutback Laboratory
McAsphalt Industries Limited produces over 100 different types of emulsion/cutback products from terminals spread across Canada. The formulation and research for the success of these products is controlled through a fully equipped laboratory performing regular quality control testing, as well as the development of new and improved performance products.
